APPOINTMENT DEMANDS

We are currently experiencing a high demand for routine appointment bookings with a GP, this is a National problem and not restricted to this practice. Whilst we understand your frustrations and share them please refrain from taking this out on the receptionists.

We offer on the day emergency triage calls with a GP if you feel your medical needs are urgent, we have possible cancellations if you ring after 1.30pm on the day and Sister Helen Wilson is now a Nurse Prescriber who can offer advice for coughs, earache, sore throats and urine infections these appointments are also available daily. Our clinical pharmacists Mr Ali can also offer advice or review your medications either by telephone or face to face on a Monday and Friday.

There are also pre-bookable telephone consultations with a GP, unfortunately a specific time is not allocated for this, reception can mark down an AM or PM preference.

The summer months also mean annual leave for GP’s and again this cuts down on routine appointment availability.

The Practice operates a zero tolerance, violent, aggressive or abusive behaviour towards any member of our practice team will NOT be tolerated. Patients, who behave in a violent, aggressive or abusive way to practice staff or other patients on the premises, will be removed from the practice list with immediate effect and the incident will be reported to the police. We hope we do not have to implement this and would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
